A Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Gregory de Fazio is a graduate of Holy Cross College in Massachusetts where he received a Bachelor of Arts in European Literature. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York he received his Doctorate in Medicine from SUNY Downstate and completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Gregory de Fazio joined his father Dr. Laurence de Fazio and his brother Dr. Mark de Fazio in practice in 1995. He is an Attending Physician at the New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Park Slope, Brooklyn and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Weill Cornell Medical College. At New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, “Dr. Greg” is closely involved with the supervision and education of residents and medical students.
He recently received the hospital’s Voluntary Attending of the Year Award recognizing his excellence in teaching and was elected several times to the hospital's "Healer's Hall of Fame" by his patients. He is fluent In Italian. Dr. Greg was also featured on HBO’s first-ever prime-time documentary reality series Family Bonds, where he helped his patient deliver a beautiful baby on national television.
